According to the report of the Daily Star News website, a ‘cat barber’ is roaming in the cities of England! He is secretly shaving the hair of pet cats. By the time the owners of the animals come to know about this, it is getting late. So far, about 100 cases have come to the fore where people have lodged complaints that their cats’ body hair has been mysteriously shaved.
84 cases have come to the fore
It is believed that the person is roaming around with a trimmer and is shaving the hair of the cats, due to which patches are being formed on their bodies. It was claimed in the report that till last week there were 54 such cases in which the person had shaved the hair of pet cats, but in this week 30 more cases came to light and now this number has crossed 84. The first case was registered in Chatham and Rainham while the maximum number of cases have been reported in Kent and South-East London.
Case investigation started
At first it was thought that all these cases were happening in the surrounding areas, but when a shaved cat was found in Craig and another in Staffordshire, it came to know that cases have come to the fore in distant areas as well. Investigators suspect that by imitating a criminal, others may also be doing such acts for fun. Such cases have also come to the fore in areas like South Hampton and West Sussex. Many organizations together have started investigating this and have asked the owners of the animals to immediately report such cases to the police so that the culprit can be caught.
